I am an American-Norwegian artist exploring notions of lineage, belonging, and home. Employing a wide range of materials including fibers, encaustics, and found objects, I raise questions of the intersections between gender, labor, the domestic, and intergenerational connection.

Anne Skaug (she/they) is a Chicago based artist with her MFA from the Art Institute of Chicago in the Fiber and Material Studies program. In 2023, she was named one of "Chicago's Best Emerging Artists." Her practice is interdisciplinary, pulling from her interests in epistemology, connection, and ritual. Skaug currently works as the Studio Coordinator at Arts of Life, a nonprofit organization situated at the intersection of art, social work, and healthcare.
