I am an American-Norwegian artist exploring notions of lineage, belonging, and home. Employing a wide range of materials including fibers, encaustics, and found objects, I raise questions of the intersections between gender, labor, the domestic, and generational trauma.

Anne Skaug (she/her/hers) is a Chicago based artist, currently earning her Master of Fine Arts from the Art Institute of Chicago in the Fiber and Material Studies program. Her work is interdisciplinary, pulling from her interests in epistemology, matrilineal traditions, and ritual.
